Different legal age requirements may apply to particular Jobs, working hours, workplaces, contracts, qualifications, payments, or regulated activities. Employers and Candidates are responsible for making sure any work arrangement complies with applicable child-employment and young-worker rules.
JobTap may restrict access to Jobs that are unsuitable or legally unavailable to users of a particular age.
You must have the legal capacity and authority required to use JobTap and enter into any work agreement facilitated through the Platform.
JobTap's Role
JobTap provides technology that allows Employers and Candidates to discover opportunities, communicate, submit and review bids, and manage work-related activity.
JobTap is not:
The Employer of a Candidate
An employment agency
A recruitment agency
A staffing agency
A party to the work agreement between an Employer and Candidate
A guarantor of work, hiring, earnings, payment, performance, or suitability
When an Employer accepts a Candidate's bid or hires a Candidate, any agreement for the performance of work is made directly between the Employer and the Candidate.
The Employer and Candidate are responsible for agreeing on:
The work to be performed
The rate or amount payable
The schedule
The working location
Required qualifications
Equipment and safety requirements
Payment arrangements
Cancellation arrangements
Any applicable employment, worker, contractor, tax, or legal status
JobTap may provide Platform tools to support the arrangement, but JobTap does not become a party to the agreement merely because the Platform is used.
Account Registration
To use JobTap, you may need to create a Candidate or Employer account.
You agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Keep your information updated
Use your own identity and contact details
Complete required verification procedures
Protect your password and login credentials
Accept responsibility for activity conducted through your account
Notify JobTap promptly if you suspect unauthorised access
You must not create a fake account, impersonate another person or business, or use another user's account without permission.
JobTap may request additional information to verify your identity, business, qualifications, work eligibility, or Platform activity.
Candidate Responsibilities
Candidates are responsible for ensuring that profile, application, and work-related information is accurate and not misleading.
Candidates must:
Provide accurate skills, experience, and qualifications
Upload only genuine certificates and documents
Provide accurate right-to-work and compliance information
Submit honest applications and bids
Clearly communicate availability and proposed rates
Perform accepted work professionally
Attend accepted Jobs as agreed
Submit accurate check-in, check-out, and timesheet information
Follow lawful Employer instructions
Follow relevant workplace health and safety rules
Respect Employers and other Platform users
Notify the Employer promptly if unable to attend or complete agreed work
Meet personal tax or regulatory obligations where applicable
Candidates must not provide false experience, forged documents, manipulated timesheets, false attendance information, or misleading professional information.
Employer Responsibilities
Employers are responsible for the Jobs they publish and the work arrangements they make with Candidates.
Employers must:
Publish accurate and lawful Job information
Clearly describe the work, responsibilities, location, schedule, and rate
State relevant qualifications, licences, and experience requirements
Avoid misleading, discriminatory, fraudulent, or unsafe Job listings
Review Candidate information responsibly
Pay applicable JobTap charges before accessing paid Platform features
Provide a reasonably safe working environment
Provide legally required equipment, information, and supervision
Follow employment, worker, contractor, tax, equality, and health and safety laws
Review submitted timesheets fairly
Communicate cancellations or changes promptly
Pay Candidates according to the direct agreement with the Candidate
Respect Candidates and other Platform users
Employers must not require Candidates to perform unlawful, misleading, undisclosed, exploitative, or unsafe work.
User and Business Verification
JobTap may verify Candidates and Employers using information provided through the Platform or approved third-party services.
Verification may include:
Email and phone verification
Identity verification
Business verification
Right-to-work information
National Insurance information
Professional certificates
Qualifications
Licences
Compliance documents
DBS or criminal-record-related checks, where lawfully required
Verification is intended to improve trust and reduce misuse. It does not amount to an absolute guarantee of any particular outcome. Candidates and Employers must carry out their own reasonable checks before entering into an agreement.
Job Listings
Employers may publish Jobs through JobTap, subject to Platform limits and verification requirements.
Job listings must:
Be genuine
Describe actual available work
Include accurate requirements
Include accurate pay or rate information
Follow applicable laws
Avoid discriminatory language or unlawful restrictions
Avoid misleading claims
Avoid hidden duties or undisclosed conditions
Avoid requesting unnecessary sensitive information
Avoid unlawful or unsafe activities
JobTap may review, reject, restrict, edit, pause, or remove a Job listing where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, or comply with law. JobTap does not guarantee that a published Job will receive applications or result in a successful hire.
Applications and Bids
Candidates may apply for Jobs or submit bids through the Platform.
A bid may include:
A proposed rate
Availability
A message to the Employer
Candidate profile information
Qualifications and experience
Other information relevant to the Job
Submitting a bid does not guarantee that the Candidate will be hired. An Employer may review, accept, reject, or take no action on a bid. A Candidate must not submit spam bids, misleading bids, or bids for work the Candidate is not legally or professionally able to perform.
Unlocking Candidate Bids
To access or unlock the details of a Candidate's bid, the Employer may be required to pay a £10 bid-unlock fee through Stripe. The applicable charge will be displayed before payment.
The £10 payment:
Unlocks access to the relevant Candidate bid
Does not guarantee that the Candidate will accept the Job
Does not guarantee that the Employer will hire the Candidate
Does not guarantee Job completion
Does not guarantee Candidate availability
Does not represent payment to the Candidate
Does not make JobTap a party to the work agreement
JobTap does not currently charge a fee for every Job, Candidate payment, timesheet, or work transaction unless another charge is clearly displayed and accepted before use.
Stripe Payments
Bid-unlock payments are processed through Stripe. When an Employer makes a payment, the Employer may also be subject to Stripe's terms and privacy practices. JobTap does not normally receive or store complete payment-card information when payment details are provided directly to Stripe.
An Employer is responsible for:
Providing an authorised payment method
Ensuring sufficient funds are available
Reviewing the charge before confirming payment
Keeping billing information accurate
Not using fraudulent or unauthorised payment details
JobTap may restrict access to paid features if a payment fails, is reversed, is disputed, or appears fraudulent.
Refunds for Bid-Unlock Fees
A bid-unlock fee provides access to Candidate bid information. It does not guarantee a hire or successful work arrangement. Unless required by applicable law or expressly approved by JobTap, a bid-unlock fee may not be refundable simply because:
The Employer decides not to hire the Candidate
The Candidate is not selected
The Candidate declines the Job
The Candidate becomes unavailable
The Employer changes the Job requirements
The Employer does not proceed with the Job
If there is a duplicated charge, technical error, unauthorised payment, or another exceptional issue, the Employer should submit a Support Ticket with the relevant payment details.
Hiring and Work Agreements
When an Employer hires a Candidate, the resulting work agreement is directly between the Employer and Candidate. JobTap is not responsible for drafting, supervising, or enforcing every term of the work agreement.
Candidates and Employers should agree on important details before work begins, including:
Work requirements
Start and completion dates
Working hours
Rate or payment amount
Payment method and timing
Workplace location
Equipment
Health and safety arrangements
Cancellation terms
Confidentiality
Intellectual property
Employment, worker, or contractor status
JobTap does not determine a user's legal employment or tax status. Employers and Candidates should obtain professional advice where necessary.
Active Jobs and Timesheets
JobTap may provide tools for managing active Jobs, including job status, check-in, check-out, working hours, timesheet entries, Employer approval or rejection, notes, weekly summaries, earnings information, and completion status.
Candidates must submit accurate working information. Employers must review timesheets honestly and within a reasonable period.
Neither party may:
Submit false hours
Manipulate check-in or check-out records
Approve work that was not performed
Reject genuine work dishonestly
Use timesheets to mislead JobTap or another party
Cancellations and Disputes
Candidates and Employers should communicate promptly if a Job must be cancelled, delayed, or changed. If a disagreement arises, either party may submit a Support Ticket.
JobTap administrators may review available records and may:
Assist with communication
Investigate Platform misuse
Provide a Platform-related decision
Take action against an account
JobTap does not automatically become a court, arbitrator, Employer, or party to the underlying work agreement. Users retain any legal rights available under applicable law.
Inbox and Communication
Users must not use Inbox features to:
Send spam
Harass or threaten another user
Send fraudulent offers
Request unlawful activity
Share malicious links or files
Impersonate another person

Share another person's private information without permission
JobTap may review relevant communications where necessary to investigate a report, resolve a Support Ticket, prevent fraud, enforce these Terms, protect users, or comply with law.
Deleting Conversations
Users may delete complete conversations through available Inbox controls. Deleting a conversation may remove it from the user's normal Inbox view. JobTap may retain limited records where reasonably required for reports, Support Tickets, disputes, fraud prevention, payment records, Platform security, legal obligations, or enforcement of these Terms.
Blocking Users
Users may block another user through available JobTap controls. Blocking a user does not necessarily submit a formal report. If a user wants JobTap to investigate conduct, the user should use the Report function or submit a Support Ticket.
Reporting Users and Conversations
Users may report another user or conversation through the Platform.
Report reasons may include:
Spam or unwanted advertising
Harassment or abusive behaviour
Scam or fraud
Inappropriate content
Impersonation
Other suspected violations
Submitting a report may automatically block the reported user and create a Support Ticket for administrative review. Users must not knowingly submit false, malicious, retaliatory, or misleading reports.
Ratings and Reviews
Reviews must be honest, relevant, based on a genuine interaction, respectful, and free from misleading or false claims.
Users must not:
Create fake reviews
Manipulate ratings
Exchange payment for favourable reviews
Submit retaliatory or abusive reviews
Use reviews to disclose private information
Pressure another user to change a truthful review
Support Tickets
Users may create Support Tickets for technical issues, payment concerns, account problems, job disputes, timesheet disputes, reports, safety concerns, Platform questions, and other JobTap-related matters.
Submitting a Support Ticket does not guarantee a particular decision, refund, response time, or outcome.
User Content
Users retain ownership of original Content they submit to JobTap.
By submitting Content, users grant Job Tap Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, display, transmit, and use that Content only as reasonably necessary to operate JobTap, display profiles and Jobs, deliver messages and attachments, process applications and bids, provide support, investigate reports, maintain security, improve the Platform, and comply with legal obligations.
Users confirm that they have the necessary rights and permissions to upload their Content.
Prohibited Conduct
Users must not:
Create fake or misleading accounts
Impersonate another person or business
Publish fake, fraudulent, or misleading Jobs
Provide false qualifications, certificates, or work history

Discriminate unlawfully
Publish inappropriate or unlawful Content
Share malicious files or links
Conduct phishing
Request or facilitate unlawful work
Misuse another user's personal information
Infringe intellectual property rights
Attempt to access another account
Interfere with Platform security
Scrape or harvest Platform data
Reverse engineer or misuse JobTap systems
Create replacement accounts to avoid restrictions
Submit false or malicious reports
Manipulate bids, ratings, reviews, or Platform records
Use JobTap in violation of applicable law
Off-Platform Activity and Payments
Users should use caution before moving communication or payment outside JobTap. JobTap may treat requests for suspicious off-platform payment as a safety concern. JobTap may have limited ability to investigate or assist with activities that take place entirely outside the Platform.
Platform Monitoring and Enforcement
Where reasonably necessary, JobTap may:
Remove Content
Remove a Job
Restrict messaging
Restrict bidding or hiring features
Request verification
Pause an account
Suspend an account
Permanently terminate an account
Preserve relevant evidence
Open or update a Support Ticket
Restrict access to paid features
Report suspected unlawful activity to an appropriate authority
Severe misconduct may result in immediate suspension or termination without a prior warning where lawful and reasonably necessary.
Appeals
A user may contact JobTap if the user believes an account restriction, Content removal, suspension, or termination was made in error. Appeals may be submitted to Stanley@job-tab.co.uk. JobTap will review the appeal reasonably and may uphold, reverse, or modify the original decision. Submitting an appeal does not automatically suspend the original enforcement action.
Intellectual Property
JobTap and its related intellectual property are owned by or licensed to Job Tap Ltd, including the JobTap name, logos, branding, website design, mobile application, source code, software, Platform functionality, original text and graphics, and databases.
Users may not copy, reproduce, sell, license, distribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit JobTap intellectual property without written permission, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Privacy
Use of JobTap is also governed by the JobTap Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how JobTap collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information. Users should review the Privacy Policy before creating an account or providing personal information.

JobTap may use or link to third-party services including Stripe, Firebase, Pusher, cloud-hosting providers, verification providers, email or SMS providers, file-storage providers, and external websites. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. JobTap is not responsible for their independent operation, content, security, or availability.
Service Availability
JobTap aims to provide a reliable Platform, but continuous or uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or another liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Were not reasonably foreseeable
Result from a direct agreement between a Candidate and Employer
Result from inaccurate information supplied by a user
Arise from unauthorised account use caused by a user's failure to protect credentials
Arise from third-party services outside JobTap's reasonable control
Relate to loss of profit, opportunity, business, reputation, or anticipated savings

JobTap may update these Terms when Platform features change, payment arrangements change, new legal requirements apply, security practices change, JobTap's business model changes, or new Candidate or Employer services are introduced. The latest update date will appear at the top of the Terms. Where a change is significant, JobTap may provide reasonable notice through the Platform, website, email, or another appropriate method.

These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Subject to any protections or rights that cannot legally be excluded, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or the use of JobTap.
Before starting formal proceedings, users are encouraged to contact JobTap or submit a Support Ticket so that the issue can be reviewed.
General Terms
If a court finds part of these Terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A delay by JobTap in enforcing a right does not mean that JobTap has waived that right. Users may not transfer their JobTap account or contractual rights without JobTap's permission. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and other policies referenced on the Platform, form the agreement between the user and Job Tap Ltd concerning use of JobTap.
